Jordan's Birthday

It is hard to believe that Jordan is now 7 years old. Time sure flys.
He did not have school on his birthday so we let him sleep in. We woke him up by singing Happy Birthday to him. He ate his birthday cake for breakfast.

He ate lunch at Chick-fil-a and played at their indoor playground. Next we went letterboxing.

We had made a hitchiker to plant. A hitchiker is a letterbox that travels from letterbox to letterbox. So when you find a letterbox, it might have a hitchiker in it. You remove the hitchiker from that letterbox and place it in another letterbox. So it travels around.

Jordan wanted to make a hitchiker in honor of his favorite stuff animal, Shoe. Yes, his stuffed animal's name is Shoe. We named the hitchiker "Shoe's travels." It will be interesting to see were Shoe's stamp travels.

Here is Jordan, Shoe and Shoe's travels just before we planted it.

This is the letterbox that Shoe's Travel is currently hiding in.

Pinewood Derby Race

Hunter had his pinewood derby race today. Hunter was given a block of wood and some wheels to make his car. Hunter designed the shape of his car. He painted it and put lots of decals on it. He did a great job and worked very hard on it.

The Competition

This a picture of the race track. Hunter is closest to the camera. They raced two cars against each other then they switched sides. They had a double elimination contest. The boys raced against their den and then there was a race for the fastest car in the pack. Even though Hunter's car was not the fastest, he had a great time.

Happy 2008

My dear friend, Sonya and her family spent New Year's Eve with us. Sonya and I have been friends since elementary school. (which was a very long time ago.) :) We were both pregnant at the same time with our first children. Even though our due dates were only a week apart, her twins are a little over a month older than Hunter. When our families get together, we have a room full of boys. The boys enjoyed playing together while we talked and watched a movie. The neighbors had tons of fireworks. So Sonya was able to meet some of our wonderful neighbors.

Happy 2008!!!
