Christmas Time

I came home form work and Chris had the Christmas tree up. The boys were in the Christmas boxes looking for the ornaments. They had a great time decorating the tree. Only a few ornament were broken. The tree looks beautiful.

Getting Lost in the Corn Maze

We went back to the corn maze again this year. It is becoming a regular fall tradition for us. This year's theme was space exploration. Each year the overhead view of the corn maze is a picture of the theme.

This year's corn maze design

On Friday and Saturday nights, the maze was open late so you could explore the maze at night with a flashlight. This year, we went late Saturday afternoon so we can be in the maze at night.

One of the two bridges at the maze

There was stations hidden throughout the maze. This year for the first time we found them all. Hunter was very excited about this accomplishment.

A Historical Day in Camden

After camping with the boy scouts, Chris and Hunter went to the Camden battlefield. They were doing a reenactment of a revolutionary war battle that took place there.

This was a replication of a soldier's tent during the revolutionary war. Many of the adults that were reenacting the battle sleep in tents on the battlefield the night before.

Hunter got caught

Have a Coke and a smile :)

Even the prisoners get thristy

I see the boys play war all the time. But it is not every day that you see grown men playing war.

The musical entertainment

See the dead and wounded soldiers on the battlefield

Chris and Hunter said it was very funny at the end of the battle when the soldiers rose from the dead.

This is a VERY cool video Chris took of the battle. Hit the arrow to play the video. It is very short (less than a minute long).

Camporee

GUEST BLOGGER- HUNTER

Dad and I went to Camden for Camporee with the Boy Scouts.

Camping with the Boy Scouts was really fun but cold at night.

Axe throwing

This was my first time throwing an axe. It took a while to get it right.

Baseball

Baseball was next. During the baseball game, I played catcher, 1st base, 2nd base and hitter.
It was fun.

BB shooting

I enjoyed shooting the BB gun.

Aiming

Archery

I was the example for lots of younger scouts. Archery was my favorite part of Camporee.

Dad

While I was playing cards, Dad took a much needed nap.
