Order of the Arrow

Hunter was chosen by his troop to join the Order of the Arrow.  Membership requirements include camping 15 nights with the Boy Scouts which the two year period prior to election, being First Class rank or hight and elected by the youth members of their troop.  This weekend he went through the Ordeal.  During The Ordeal candidates have to sleep alone, be silence, work and are given a limited amount of food.   Here is Hunter receiving his Ordeal sash.  After several months, he will become part of the Brotherhood.

My painting

Mom and I went to the Art Smart Academy for an adult painting class.  We started with a blank canvas, paintbrushes and paint.  The class had 7 people and the art instructor was very patient with all of us.  After 2 hours, this is what I painted.  Everyone's painting looked different but they all looked good.  When I got home and showed Hunter, he immediately took down a picture on the wall and hung up my painting.  It was very sweet.  Hunter said he wanted to go with me next time.  

First Day of School

Hunter and Jordan are both in the same school this year!!  This makes life so much easier on us.  Hunter is an 8th grader and Jordan is a 6th grader.  Chapin Middle School here we come!

Blowfish

We went to the Blowfish playoff game which are our local baseball team.  I was fun eating boiled peanuts and watching the game.  The best part of the game was seeing our friends the Zobels and talking to them.  The Blowfish won the game!

The Big Mo

We went to the Big Mo, our favorite and only drive in.  We are very excited about the our double feature, The Dark Knight and Spiderman.  I actually stayed awake for both movies!  This was a first for me.  We enjoyed both the movies but liked Spiderman better.

We tailgated before the movies.  There were 2 dogs in the car next to us.  Oreo was very interested in them.  He kept trying to go over there with them.  When we gave him a bowl of dog food, he turned in over with his nose and hide the food under the bowl.  It was too funny.
