The pinewood derby is one of the boy's favorite cub scouting event. Above is Jordan with some boys from our den before the race.
Our den was the color guard at the race. Jordan was in charge of the cub scout flag.
There were lots of cool cars this year like the one closest in the picture. It was a shark. Another one was shaped like a banana. Chris and I were in charge of the awards for the cars. We came up with something unique about each car which was pretty hard for the last 5 cars. I want to give " The Fruitiest Car" Award to the banana car but Chris voted me down because it sounded gay.
Here is Jordan with his Clemson car. He had a little tiger driver but we had to remove it because of the weight limit.
Since Hunter is in boy scouts, he can not race in the pinewood derby. So he volunteered to be a race official. He had a great time being in charge.
Jordan and Luke (the banana car) are racing. Hunter is making sure the cars are on the track correctly before they race.
Here are the winners from my den. Jordan came in 2nd! Jordan and Chris did a great job on his car.
