We woke up bright and early for Hunter's last track meet of the season. One of Hunter's friends had spend the night so we took him home first and headed about 1 hour away to the meet which started at 9:30am. We arrived early but something was missing ... other track members. Unfortunately this does not mean Hunter got a first place ribbon in every event. No this means his dumb parents drove to the wrong high school!!! The meet was held at a different high school on the other side of the county. 45 minutes later, we arrived at the meet. UGH!!! Luckily, Hunter did not miss any of his events. Track meets are all day affairs. The bigger the meets the longer they take. At Hunter's meets, there have been about 300 kids at each meet. So we can kiss the Saturday of a track meet goodbye.
He finished third in the 200 meter race! He is holding his ribbon in the picture. He worked so hard in track this year and improved so much. We are very proud of him. I guess it was worth all the stress. But I'm very glad track season is over... at least for now!
